B-spoke glaze all our windows and doors using low e energy efficient double glazed units. Pilkington K glass provides a comfortable environment all year round keeping buildings cool in the summer and warmer throughout the winter.
K glass forms the inner pain of the double glazed unit, the coating reflects heat back into the room whilst also letting in free heat from the sun known as passive solar gain.
At B-spoke we glaze all our windows with 3mm butyl flexistrip and can in corporate vented beading systems.
All our conservatory roofs are glazed using active blue self cleaning glass, fixed using anchor glaze and powder coated aluminium capping and gaskets.
Slimlite double glazing
Timber provides one of the best insulating values of any material used in the construction of a window and has been used extensively over the last one hundred years.
Unfortunately most of these windows are single glazed, being subject to conservation regulations. These windows allow your home to become cold and costly to heat throughout the winter with the warmth escaping through the glass.
B-spoke are proud to be able to now offer you an alternative to single glass, allowing your heritage windows to become more efficient using slimlite double glazed units.
Slimlite units are now accepted and approved by conservation, allowing heritage windows to be manufactured and installed into listed or graded properties. Keeping all the style, tradition and quality that your period windows require, in keeping with your property and its surroundings.
Slimlite double glazing allows you to keep that all important slim double glazing bar detail with its ultra thin double glazing technology required by conservation, only needing a rebate depth of 7-8mm common with single glazed windows.
B-spoke joinery has a selection of glazing options which will complement your front door or add character to your timber windows. Our double glazing can incorporate single or double lead work with uv resistant coloured films applied to the outer pain. The choice of colour and patterns available is endless lending more detail and style to the wooden windows and doors that we create. We can supply bevelled glass and sand blasted glass for that frosted effect with house numbers and names applied. Bespoke joinery can supply patterned and etched glass available in toughened or laminate. Traditional leaded lights can be specially made and installed into our joinery as double glazed units as shown in the door below.
